A wool beret, in autumnal colors, entirely hand knitted by ME !!! Youppie !!!
This is February and the days are slowly getting longer.
I do not know if it is the same for you, but during those long winter evenings, I need something to lift up my moods.
Indeed, January and February are the most difficult month to get through, they seem to drag on for ever.
So, I tell myself, nothing equals a bit of knitting therapy, preferably with some warm and radiant colors
So, I went diving into my coffers (honestly, as my fellow yarn addicts well know, I have tons of yarn to dive in ) and resurfaced with THE yarn : a magnificient ball of zauberball crazy.
Exactly what the doctor would prescribe for my winter blues !!!

Woolly Wormhead is one of my favorite designers. I have loads of her patterns and so I searched for one to match my zauberball crazy yarn and here we go ! So it is, a wool beret, with as usual a great shape and method of construction.

Actually, it took me a bit longer than I thought. Indeed, that wool beret is generous in term of quantity of yarn. Also, being knitted in a fine wool sock (75% wool and 25% nylon for durability), with 2.25mm needles, it is a bit of a slow process. It kept me occupied for a few hours.
So now, I just have to find a name fort it. Mayby I will call it Béret en laine Follie Douce… which basically means, in french, Wooly Beret Sweet Insanity…
